A Scholarship for undergraduate students
tenable at University College, Oxford has been established by The Swire
Educational Trust under the following regulations: 1. The Scholarship will be
known as the Swire Scholarship, and will be awarded annually on a competitive
basis. 2. The Scholarship will be tenable for the full duration of the
successful applicant’s degree course (that is to say, for three years or four
years, depending on the length of the relevant programme of study), subject to
satisfactory progress. The award covers the scholar’s University and college
fees, plus a maintenance grant(£12,200 per annum at current
levels). In addition, the Scholarship provides free economy class air travel to
the scholar to and from London once during the tenure of the Scholarship and at
the beginning and the end of the period of tenure.

Eligibility:Scholarship is restricted to
permanent residents of Hong Kong who have completed the majority of their
formal education in Hong Kong.
-Applicants should have the intention of returning to Hong Kong after their studies to pursue a career in business, Government, or in a recognized profession.
-The successful candidate for the 2012 Scholarship will be in receipt of a conditional or unconditional offer of a place at University College, Oxford, made by the College during the December 2011 admissions round, for undergraduate study commencing in October 2012 in any of the subjects listed below (except Medicine) which can be studied at University College:
